Starting May 2, 2015, for the next 5 weeks WNRV will be selecting an Athlete of the Week each week from both Narrows and Giles High School. This program is sponsored by Nagel’s Downtown Grille in Pearisburg, the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate from Nagel’s (good for anything in the restaurant) and a WNRV award letter. Varsity athletes in all spring sports are eligible for consideration. The winner will be announced at 9:45 AM during the Speaking of Sports show on Saturday morning. The gift certificate has to be picked up in person at Nagel’s, call Terry Reed at the station to coordinate the time: 540-921-0166. The winner will get their picture taken accepting the award, the picture will be posted on the station site and Facebook page. The winner must sign a WNRV award form.
