The 4 live sets that we recorded at the Glen Alton Jamboree & Dance on 10/13/12 for the New River Valley Jamboree show are now available for free download in our Archives/Podcast section. There are also 2 videos for each set.

Special Basketball Tripleheader on Sat Feb 9 at 10 AM

We'll have a special basketball tripleheader to conclude our 2012 regular season basketball coverage. Following our Speaking of Sports show on Saturday February 9 at 10 AM, we'll replay 3 games from this week:

Giles-Radford girls
Narrows-Grayson County boys
Narrows-Grayson County girls

All 3 were their Senior Night games. The Giles boys Senior Night game was covered last week.

Weekly show time changes

Starting this week, we'll be rearranging the schedule for a couple of shows:

This is Bluegrass (Tom Henderson) is now only 10-11 AM on Monday.

Bluegrass Gospel USA (Bill Miller) is now 10 AM-noon on Thursday.

Knee Deep in Bluegrass (Cindy Baucom) is now 10 AM-noon on Friday.

Into the Blue (Terry Herd) is now 1-4 PM on Friday (with classic hour replayed 10-11 AM on Tuesday).

I want to thank Angie & Chris Via at the Old Virginia Smokehouse for hosting the live bands that we recorded for the New River Valley Jamboree show. In November 2011 Chris offered to let us record bands there, & since then we had about 25 live bands out there!

They closed that Smokehouse location in Pearisburg on January 27 & will be relocating to the New River Deli in Pembroke. I look forward to now getting food from their tasty BBQ menu at the new location next week.

Roy Clark Jr show on Jan 19 cancelled

The Roy Clark Jr show at the Old Virginia Smokehouse on Saturday January 19 has been cancelled. The recent bad weather prevented Roy from driving down this weekend.

The Sharon Stacy set that we recorded last week at the Smokehousee will be played on the New River Valley Jamboree show on the 19th at 3 PM. Tune in at AM 990 or the live stream.
