The 2nd Annual Giles Fiddler's Convention will be held May 18-19 at Whitt-Riverbend Park in Pearisburg, Virginia.

Performances and competitions, primitive camping on 30 acres, and amazing river access for boating enthusiasts.
Friday night entertainment (competition will occur Saturday ONLY this year):

8pm Indian Run String Band
9pm Laura Beth and Clover Hollow
Musicians! We will be offering $3000 in cash prize money, complete with all the traditional old time and bluegrass categories AND we will also offer one non-traditional band category. Youth competitions and dance contests will also be available at the convention. Registration is open 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM Saturday. And if you compete, you will be reimbursed your entry fee!
Canoe tours, both short jaunts for the inexperienced and long tours for river veterans, will be available from our friends at Tangent Outfitters.

Half Acre Promotions is a local cooperative booking partnership focused on showcasing and preserving the Appalachian music heritage of Southwestern Virginia. We have hosted several successful music events, including three seasons of bluegrass and old time music at the Newport Jamboree.
