Thanks for the MED Tournament

We'd like to extend our thanks to everyone that enabled us to bring you all 6 games of the Mountain Empire District tournament live today & the Narrows-Bland girls' game last night. Covering 6 live games in the same day from a remote location was a first for us, & we appreciate all the hard work & support that made it possible!

- The WNRV sports crew for a long day's hard work (plus the others from Giles County & elsewhere who helped us out at Fort Chiswell). Covering 6 straight games at an away site is a tremendous amount of work, particularly when you have to dodge rock & mud slides just to get there. We also had a team at Fort Chiswell last night doing live coverage of the Narrows-Bland girls' tiebreaker game that decided the regular season title.

- Fort Chiswell High School & Athletic Department, & the Mountain Empire District for their assistance in letting WNRV do live coverage of last night's game & today's entire Mountain Empire District tournament. The fact that our sports team could at times barely be heard over the crowd & cheerleaders shows what a great event this tournament is, & how much it really means to the schools.

- Our sponsors for their support of local sports. Your commitment to the kids is what makes all of this possible, & you help permit us to continue the goal that supporting the kids is the point of all this effort.

Stay tuned for more live events, we have plenty more stuff planned!
